THE MASTER LOCK COMPANY TERMS OF SALE – EFFECTIVE NOVEMBER 2019
All orders are subject to acceptance by Master Lock Company LLC, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
CLAIMS:
■ You must report any claims for shortages or damages for which Master Lock Company LLC or our freight carriers are responsible within 30 days of receipt of merchandise.
■ Receivers must note visible discrepancies on the carrier’s copy of the delivery receipt in order for the claim to be considered valid. Visible discrepancies include, but are not limited to, open, torn, crushed or water damaged cartons, piece counts that do not match the delivery receipt, etc.
■ Master Lock Company LLC uses yellow stretch-wrap. If freight is received with stretch-wrap that is clear or any other color, it should be noted on carrier’s copy of the delivery receipt.
■ Concealed damages must be reported within five business days of receipt of merchandise in order to determine liability.
■ All carriers’ claims on Prepaid (or Prepay & Add) shipments are filed by Master Lock Company LLC. RETURN GOODS
■ No merchandise may be returned without authorization from The Master Lock Company.
■ All returns must have a Returned Material Authorization (RMA) Number issued by The Master Lock Company Customer Care.
■ The RMA must be shown on all labels and correspondence with regards to returned merchandise.
■ All returns must be prepaid and returned within 30 days of authorization in order to receive credit.
■ A minimum 15% handling charge will be assessed on authorized returns.
■ Returns received without prior authorization (RMA Code) may be returned to the customer.
■ Returns will not be authorized for custom “Made To Order (MTO)” products and/or products built to a specific customer requirement such as laser engraved, master keyed, or keyed alike products.
WARRANTY INFORMATION:
■ If this product or any part of the product fails due to a defect in materials or workmanship at any time during the life of the product, Master Lock Company LLC (“Master Lock”) will repair or replace the product or part free of charge. ■ This limited warranty applies only to defects in materials and workmanship, and does not cover products which have been abused, altered, damaged, misused, cut or excessively worn. TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MASTER LOCK DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER IMPLIED OR EXPRESS WARRANTIES INCLUDING ALL WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND/OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
■ This limited warranty is your sole and exclusive remedy and MASTER LOCK shall not be liable for any damages, whether direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or otherwise, including property damage, lost revenues and lost profits, arising out of any theory of recovery, including statutory, contract or tort.
■ This limited warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state and province to province.
